WB Games Brasil, Electronic Arts and Codemasters actions on Social Media

WB Games Brasil distributed its own titles as well as Electronic Arts and Codemasters titles. Along with the work being developed for EA Sports FIFA in Brazil (read more here), I developed new ideas to engage with the public in their social media platforms, especially with very popular games in Brazil such as Mortal Kombat, Lego, Battlefield and Need for Speed. The page had lukewarm content until then, with a lot of links from the press, but few posts with good art, little engagement and almost no cultural contests. I created a schedule of posts focusing on the releases of the period, supporting the games released and creating themed cultural contests with the new titles. I ended up creating a plan to give away at least one Xbox 360 per month, customized with the artwork from a game released that month and with a physical copy of the game. These actions were a success, and were even shared organically by Microsoft Brasil a few times. The choice of the Xbox 360 was due to the production of the console in Brazil and the cost, in addition to it also being the most popular console at the time. In addition to the WB Games Brasil pages, I coordinated the content for The Sims Brasil, which had a specialist to write about The Sims.

Disclaimer: WB Games was responsible for the physical distribution of Electronic Arts games and the companies cooperated in several ways.

Social media posts from that time are no longer available due to a change in strategy by both companies.
